“Ditch Weed”
AZ*HEMP
One signature away from legal hemp in Arizona

Attributes

OTHER ATTRIBUTES OF INDUSTRIAL HEMP:
It can easily be grown with sufficiently low quantities of THC to separate it from strains or varieties that are known as medical marijuana or recreational marijuana.

It is environmentally superior to petroleum and other natural resources in that:

It is a renewable natural resource;

It is a cleaner source of raw material for fuel and plastics;

It can be grown organically or with minimal chemicals;

It can be planted in rotation with other crops;

It leaves fields weed free for other crops;

It uses less water than cotton; and

It is drought tolerant.

It can also reduce soil erosion.  Animal feeds from hempseed and biomass waste can reduce the need for grain production, which results in soil erosion (averaging over five tons per acres in 1992) and leaching of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides into groundwater.

It can revitalize rural economies, and developing nations--where biomass is generally plentiful--can become more self-sufficient and even repay trade deficits by using organic waste to produce a surplus of fuel, animal feed or industrial chemicals.

But Why Arizona?
